Non uniformly polarized electromagnetic beams is a subject of great interest due to the increasing number of applications where these beams improve the performance of devices and techniques. Here we present a description of non uniformly polarized beams, a way to simulate them and an application to graphically show the polarization properties of non uniformly polarized beams. The polarization patterns can be studied at any plane upon free space propagation. This application is helpful in designing non uniformly polarized beams with special polarization patterns and allows to study how these patterns evolve with propagation.
